The chassis is laser cut and CNC folded in Australia from 2mm 304#4 stainless-steel.
The heat exchanger is a copper/copper tube and fin unit with louvered and dimpled fins offering best in class surface area.

Loop It Outside
Build your loop inside then attach externally to the G1/4" female threads of the heat exchanger.
Remove the rubber plugs and fit pass-through bulk heads or cut them to fit.
Use all 4 to run you GPU and CPU in parallel, or 2 for series.
External fittings allow for easy filling and draining.

Premium Materials
304#4 Stainless Steel is much stronger and harder wearing than aluminium.
The steel glistens and takes on the colour of your room.
There is no front I/O, only a single 14mm square hole for a mechanical key power switch.
304SS machine screws are used exclusively throughout the build. Matching fan screws may be provided depending on Kickstarter stretch goals.

To appease these alternative design preferences there will be a premium Kickstarter backer option to customise the C-Shield as you see fit.

Design Philosophy
There's no shortage of SFFPC case options, some focusing on minimal size with others offering basic water cooling support. Carotid seeks to distance from normality by only supporting custom loop water cooling, this ethos allows for uncompromising performance and unrivaled Compatibility in a SFFPC case.
The whole case acts as a positive pressure system bathing all components in cool air before gently exhausting through the integrated heat exchanger. The Technical Section thoroughly details the advantages of this design. (You can run in Negative Pressure layout if you desire.)

I.e. less overall processes that can be more quickly adapted to change. For you this means a better kickstarter experience as there's no waiting months for tooling before production can even begin. The brushed Stainless offers a premium lasting finish significantly harder and stronger than aluminium.
The tube and fin heat exchanger is a custom imported unit designed specifically for Carotid. With louvered and dimpled fins calibrated to the positive pressure nature of the case. Warmoob utilises a contract manufacturer for this component, this manufacturer supplies various international companies in large volumes resulting in short lead times and large production capabilities.
By using an adjustable offset sandwich layout with a Gen4 PCI-E riser Carotid can accommodate very wide graphics cards and even series fans. The goal is extreme performance under 20L, not as compact as possible. There's room to work in this computer case and ample airflow for all components.
